2006
Darryll started back riding in the UK in February.
He won the Yorkshire Cup on Percussionist at York in May
Came 2nd in the Epsom Derby on "Dragon Dancer" by only the shortest of heads!
He
broke his wrist at york on the 14th of July,
The cast came off a month later & Darryll was invited up to Newcastle United by the manager Glen roeder for training, physio & rehab.
Darryll stayed with them for 8 days, He came back to ride on the 31st of August.
Rode "Simply Perfect" to Group 1 success at Ascot in the Meon Valley Stud Fillies Mile on the 23rd September.
If yet another injury & time off Darryll still mangaed to get 73 winners in 2006.
2007
Darryll started 07 back riding in the UK for the beginning of the flat season uunfortunately he broke his other wrist in a fall on the 6th of April which had him out of the saddle for 7 wks.
Back in the saddle he rode a Royal Ascot winner on Championship Point in the
Wolferton Handicap Listed Race.
He rode Majestic Roi to group 1 victory on Oct 6th in the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.
He then went onto ride in the Melbourne Cup in Australia then onto the Japan Cup in Tokyo . Darryll finished the uk season with 75 winners
2008
Rode again in the Dubai world cup
Won group 3 Dubai Duty Free Stakes Newbury on La Haleeb
Won group 2 Countrywide Stell and Tubes Rockfel Statkes La Haleeb
Won group 2 Victor Chandler Challenge Statkes Newmarket Stimulation.
Won group 3 Grant Thornton Huxley Stakes Chester on Championship Point.
